These are the words of NOAA, not the “fake” media: …POTENTIALLY CATASTROPHIC HURRICANE MICHAEL HEADING TOWARD THE FLORIDA PANHANDLE… …LIFE-THREATENING STORM SURGE…HURRICANE FORCE WINDS…AND HEAVY RAINFALL IMMINENT…
The spirit of the times is that all media are to be mistrusted and distrusted, so much so that people ignore warnings to move out as dangerous storms approach because “the media” bear the blame for weather being reported on not arriving exactly as meteorologists forecast.
During the approach of the last “biggest ever” storm to the US mainland, TV reporters interviewed several people who insisted they’d stay put despite the urgings of their regional and municipal governments, touting how they had generators and had stocked up on fuel and food.
After the storm passed they were the ones being rescued in boats and telling how, “I had my generator…” Duh, generators can be flooded.
Well, apparently the ones staying put in Florida as category four storm Michael approaches and blaming the media for exaggeration didn’t watch the Carolinas post-storm reportage. “The world didn’t end,” it seems is their view. Well, hopefully, like Noah’s flood maybe this time stupid will be washed away.
