While Usain Bolt was setting a lightning trail on a 100 meter track in New York, Saturday evening and establishing a new mark for the world’s sprinters to reach, a group of Jamaican-Canadian small-business people was going for another achievement – how to network to grow their businesses.

It was the second session of the Circle of Influence, as the organizers have termed it, and they met in a Mississauga restaurant, Pot Luck, to get to know each other, share experiences and get professional financial tips from a Royal Bank advisor and guidance from one of their own colleagues, Ms Pot Luck herself:
